2025 Global Automotive Regulation & Certification Summit Concludes Successfully!
Hangzhou, October 16-18, 2025 – The "2025 Global Automotive Regulation & homologation Summit," jointly organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Automotive Industry Branch, China Quality homologation Centre Co., Ltd., the CEIBS Alumni Automotive Industry Association, and the ARC Group, successfully concluded in Hangzhou.
The summit attracted over 500 participants on-site, including representatives from automotive regulatory and homologation bodies and government units from more than ten countries worldwide, as well as numerous domestic mainstream vehicle and component manufacturers. Attendees engaged in extensive discussions and deliberations on strategies for the safe and efficient global expansion of China's automotive industry, providing cutting-edge regulatory and market access insights to support Chinese automakers in deepening and solidifying their presence overseas.
The summit invited representatives from official homologation bodies of multiple countries, including the Belarusian State Scientific Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering from the EAC region, the Thailand Department of Land Transport, and the Indonesian National Standardization Agency, as well as automotive homologation experts from key automotive export destinations like the EU, the Middle East, Brazil, and Mexico, who attended in person.
Presentations were delivered not only on regulations and testing conditions in the EAC and Eurasian Economic Union regions, the overall development of Thailand's automotive industry, the development of Indonesian SNI regulations and homologation processes, and ECE regulations and aftermarket developments, but the summit also featured dedicated Q&A sessions. These provided Chinese OEMs and component manufacturers the opportunity for in-depth, face-to-face exchanges and discussions with overseas experts and scholars.
During the summit, participants unanimously agreed that amidst the complex global regulatory landscape, "maintaining compliance" is the cornerstone for Chinese automobiles to progress from "going out" to "moving up," and even "staying put." "Previously, we needed multiple channels to gather fragmented information on different countries' policies. This summit is like a 'Global Compliance Guide,' giving us a systematic understanding of target market access requirements. The gains are tremendous," commented an industry professional from a domestic automaker's compliance department attending the summit.
In his closing remarks, Tan Xinchun, Deputy General Manager of ARC Group, mentioned that the determination for Chinese automobiles to "go out" and "move up" remains unwavering. Facing numerous legal and regulatory barriers overseas, the path from initial entry to rooted growth is long and challenging, but perseverance will lead to success. In the future, ARC Group will continue to deepen platform construction, assisting the Chinese automotive industry in achieving truly sustainable development within the global market.
